O cenário underground enfrenta atualmente um pós-revival em todos os sentidos. Hoje, temos uma oportunidade de colher novos frutos dentro do underground mundial, educando os jovens para apoiar e dar as boas-vindas a essa nova geração. Aprendemos ao longo dos anos que a união e o respeito geram bons resultados e fortalecem ainda mais os movimentos dentro do rock. O estímulo a bandas, zines e movimentos culturais nos torna melhores como pessoas.

Recentemente, participei de alguns shows e pude perceber que o underground sobreviveu bem à pandemia. Novas bandas de diversos estilos estão com força total, e os veteranos estão lidando bem com essa geração atual. É gratificante ver a energia da galera nos pogos e mosh, absorver as ideias e sugestões e perceber que estou envelhecendo enquanto aprecio meu legado com meus filhos e amigos. Mesmo em situações adversas, é bom constatar como as coisas mudaram do que costumavam ser.

Este zine não pertence apenas a mim ou a você, mas sim a todos nós. Todos podem enviar seus textos, oferecer ideias para entrevistas e resenhas. O principal objetivo deste zine é promover a união entre Punks e Bangers, pois somos uma comunidade com estilos diferentes, porém unidos pela mesma causa. Nosso propósito é erradicar elementos fascistas da cena. Se você não apoia a paz, a liberdade, e se suas ideias estão alinhadas com regimes opressores e ditatoriais, sugerimos que interrompa a leitura, já que este zine segue uma ideologia libertária antifascista.

The underground scene is currently going through a post-revival in every sense. Today, we have an opportunity to reap new fruits within the global underground, educating young people to support and welcome this new generation. We’ve learned over the years that unity and respect produce good results and further strengthen movements within rock. Encouraging bands, zines, and cultural movements makes us better people.

Recently, I attended a few shows and could see that the underground survived the pandemic well. New bands of various styles are going strong, and veterans are handling this current generation well. It’s gratifying to see the crowd’s energy in the pits and mosh, to take in the ideas and suggestions, and to realize I’m getting older while I appreciate my legacy with my kids and friends. Even in adverse situations, it’s good to see how things have changed from what they used to be.

This zine doesn’t belong only to me or to you, but to all of us. Anyone can send in their texts, offer ideas for interviews and reviews. This zine’s main goal is to promote unity between Punks and Bangers, since we’re a community with different styles, yet united by the same cause. Our purpose is to root out fascist elements from the scene. If you don’t support peace, freedom, and if your ideas are aligned with oppressive and dictatorial regimes, we suggest you stop reading here, since this zine follows a libertarian antifascist ideology.
